Clan Ceremonies
Leader | 1/1 | The Heart of the Clan
New Leaders must travel to the Starlit Cavern to receive their nine lives and then will be granted their new name with -star. These lives are usually given by StarClan cats that are significant to the new leader. Medicine Cats can accompany them but must wait outside during the ceremony.
Life-Giver: (Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head) With this life I give you (gift). Use it well (to, in, as, for, etc.) (use of gift)

Rowanstar touches his nose to the top of Jaystar's head. "With this life I give you courage. Use it well to lead and guide your clanmates and to have faith in your judgements."
Deputy | 1/1 | The Pride of the Clan
A Deputy is chosen by the leader to help lead the clan. To qualify the cat must be a warrior who has mentored at least one apprentice and is brave, honorable and loyal. A new deputy may need to be appointed if the deputy becomes leader, the deputy retires or dies, or is demoted.
"I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestor [or former deputy's Name] may hear and approve my choice. [Warriors Name] will be the new deputy of RedwoodClan. From this day forward [he/she] will be know as [Deputy Name]"

Jaystar looks up at the stars. "I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestor may hear and approve my choice. Kestrelwing will be the new deputy of RedwoodClan. From this day forward he will be known as Kestrelsky."
Healer | 2/2 | The Soul of the Clan
Healers are responsible for the health of the clan. They know herbs and how to treat injuries and sickness. Though all Healers are trained in healing some may specialize in certain areas.
"I, [Medicine Cat], healer of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of a healer, and with your help (he/she) will serve (his/her) Clan for many moons. [Apprentice], do you promise to uphold the ways of a healer, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?
{I do}
Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a healer. [Apprentice], from this moment you will be known as [New Name]. StarClan honors your [Traits], and we welcome you as a full healer of RedwoodClan."

"I, Rainleaf, last healer of SpruceClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of a healer, and with your help he will serve his Clan for many moons. Thomas, do you promise to uphold the ways of a healer, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"
Thomas nods his head and watched Rainleaf's starry form with sorrowful golden eyes "I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a healer. Thomas, from this moment you will be known as Flameleaf. StarClan honors your loyalty, compassion and honesty, and we welcome you as a full healer of RedwoodClan."
Elders | 0/0 | The Knowledge of the Clan
A warrior may choose to retire to the status of elder when they feel they can no longer serve their clan efficiently anymore of their own initiative or due to old age, injury, or sickness. They can report this to the clan leader who will hold a ceremony for them,
"[Warrior] is it your wish to give up your position as a warrior and join the ranks of the elders?
{Yes}
Your clan thanks you and honors you for all of the services you have given us. May StarClan give you many moons of rest."

Rowanstar gazed down at the old but proud she-cat in front of him. "Wolfsong is it your wish to give up your position as a warrior and join the ranks of the elders?"
Wolfsong wrapped her bushy tail around her paws and nods. "It is"
Rowanstar purred warmly then addressed the rest of the clan. "Your clan thanks you and honors you for all of the services you have given us. May StarClan give you many moons of rest."
Warriors | 3/∞ | The Lifeblood of the Clan
Once an apprentice passes their final assessment they will be given their warrior ceremony. As a warrior they are responsible to help care for the clan as either a general Warrior or a specialized Hunter, Scout, Runner, or Defender.
"I, [Leader], leader of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend [him/her] to you as a warrior in [his/her] turn. [Apprentice] do you promise to uphold the warrior code and honor, defend and protect your clan even at the cost of your life?

Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. [Apprentice] from this moment on you will be known as [Warrior Name]. StarClan honors your [virtues], and we welcome you as a full warrior of RedwoodClan."
Defenders | 1/∞ | The Strength of the Clan
Once an apprentice passes their final assessment they will be given their warrior ceremony. As a warrior they are responsible to help care for the clan as either a general Warrior or a specialized Hunter, Scout, Runner, or Defender.
"I, Jaystar, leader of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a defender in his turn. Darkpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and honor, defend and protect your clan even at the cost of your life?
Darkpaw held his head high and met Jaystar blue gaze. "I do."
Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Darkpaw from this moment on you will be known as Darkstrike. StarClan honors your loyalty, strength and bravery, and we welcome you as a full defender of RedwoodClan."
Scouts | 3/∞ | The Eyes of the Clan
Once an apprentice passes their final assessment they will be given their warrior ceremony. As a warrior they are responsible to help care for the clan as either a general Warrior or a specialized Hunter, Scout, Runner, or Defender.
"I, [Leader], leader of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend [him/her] to you as a warrior in [his/her] turn. Runners | 2/∞ | The Warmth of the Clan
Once an apprentice passes their final assessment they will be given their warrior ceremony. As a warrior they are responsible to help care for the clan as either a general Warrior or a specialized Hunter, Scout, Runner, or Defender.
"I, Jaystar, leader of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a runner in her turn. Sparrowpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and honor, defend and guide your clan even at the cost of your life?
Sparrowpaw nods hastily almost bouncing with excited energy. "I do."
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Sparrowpaw from this moment on you will be known as Sparrowflight. StarClan honors your kindness, honesty and agility, and we welcome you as a full runner of RedwoodClan."
Hunters | 2/∞ | The Determination of the Clan
Once an apprentice passes their final assessment they will be given their warrior ceremony. As a warrior they are responsible to help care for the clan as either a general Warrior or a specialized Hunter, Scout, Runner, or Defender.
"I, Jaystar, leader of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a hunter in her turn. Littlepaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and honor, defend and provide for your clan even at the cost of your life?
Littlepaw nods quietly before calmly answering. "I do."
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Littlepaw from this moment on you will be known as Littlewisp. StarClan honors your loyalty, stealth and bravery, and we welcome you as a full hunter of RedwoodClan."
Apprentices | 6/∞ | The Future of the Clan
When a kit turns 6 moons old they will receive their apprentice ceremony so that they may begin their training. Through their training their mentors will note what skills they favor to help find a role for them as a warrior.
"[Kit], you have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on until you receive your warrior name you will be know as [Apprentice Name]. Your mentor will be [Name]. I hope that [Name] will pass down all [his/her] knowledge and experience to you.

"[Name], you are ready to take on an[other] apprentice. You have received excellent training from [Mentor] and have proven your self to be not only [trait] but also [trait] and trait]. You will mentor [Apprentice] and I expect you to pass down those traits to [Apprentice]."

"Hawkkit, you have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on until you receive your warrior name you will be know as Hawkpaw. Your mentor will be Darkstrike. I hope that Darkstrike will pass down all his knowledge and experience to you.

"Darkstrike, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Juniperheart and have proven your self to be not only strong but also loyal and brave. You will mentor Hawkpaw and I expect you to pass down those traits to Hawkpaw."
