PERSONALITY

Jaystar is a very friendly cat. She can be hesitant and quiet in her approach, but she is a strong and resourceful leader. With a love for adventure, Jaystar is constantly exploring new places and enjoys meeting new cats. She is extremely loyal to her clan and friends, but is lenient about 'bending' the warrior code. With strangers she is polite, calm and welcoming. She makes friends easily and enjoys conversation. Some may consider her naive for being so open to cats outside of her clan, but she strives to see the best in others. Even so, she knows that not every cat is friendly and will remain inwardly wary until she knows whether a cat can be trusted. With her friends she loves to tell stories, especially to the kits and apprentices. She is fond of mentoring and watching as apprentices learn and grow. She exudes confidence when leading her clan, but secretly worries that she is not cut out for the position.

Jaystar's talents lie in her speed and stealth. She is fast and has mastered the ways of moving unseen and unheard. She is average in her agility, stamina, defense and attack. Her weakness is her strength. She is not a very physically strong cat but she makes up for it with her speed, stealth and wit.

NAME MEANING

Jay - a bird, usually blue, member of the Corvid family.

- song - A harmonious cat. A cat that likes peace.

Jay was named by her mother for first her blue grey coat and secondly for her blue eyes. Her warrior name kept her prefix Jay and added the suffix -song. In SpruceClan [now RedwoodClan] the suffix song represents a cat that is peaceful and strives to find harmony within themselves and others.

HISTORY

Kithood
Born to loner parents. Had two siblings: Wren and Juniper. Grew up hearing stories of clan cats.

Adolescence
Went off with siblings to see if the story of clan cats were true. Juniper was more hesitant, he preferred things they way they were. Wren was a huge clan cat believer. She was the leader of their adventure. Juniper eventually left them because he didn't want to be a clan cat. Wren and Jay were attacked by a fox but were saved by a Spruceclan warrior. Wren died of her injuries. Jay was taken in by the clan and given the name Jaypaw.

Warriorhood
Was given the name Jaysong after her training was complete. Soon after becoming a warrior twolegs started to invade their territory. They started to capture the clan cats and Jaysong got separated in the chaos. She became a loner once more but tried to find her remaining clanmates. She had little luck until she found Kestrelwing.

Leader
She decided, with Kestrelwing's help, to reform the clan under the name Redwoodclan. She seeks to find more members as well as any remaining Spruceclan cats that may come to the area.

Jaystar and Flameleaf have a mutual respect for each other. They enjoy the others company and are on friendly terms, but are not very close.

Juniperheart | Brother

Jaystar and Juniperheart were always close. Jaystar had an easier time relating to Juniper than their sister, Wren. Since her death they have gotten even closer.
