ABOUT
Leader
New Leaders must travel to Starlit Cavern to receive their 9 lives and then will be given their new name with -star. These lives are usually given by StarClan cats that are significant to the new leader. Medicine Cats can accompany them but must wait outside during the ceremony.
"I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestor [or former deputy's Name] may hear and approve my choice. [Warriors Name] will be the new deputy of RedwoodClan."

ABOUT
Deputy
A Deputy is chosen by the leader to help lead the clan. To qualify the cat must be a warrior who has mentored at least one apprentice and is brave, honorable and loyal. A new deputy may need to be appointed if the deputy becomes the leader, the deputy retires or dies, or the deputy is demoted.
"I, [Medicine Cat], medicine cat of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help (he/she) will serve (his/her) Clan for many moons. [Apprentice], do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?

Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. [Apprentice], from this moment you will be known as [New Name]. StarClan honors your [Traits], and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of RedwoodClan."
ABOUT
Medicine Cats
Medicine Cats are responsible for the health of the clan. They know herbs and how to treat both injuries and sickness. Though all Medicine Cats are trained in healing some may specialize in certain areas.
"[Warrior] is it your wish to give up your position as a warrior and join the ranks of the elders?
{Yes}
Your clan thanks you and honors you for all of the services you have given us. May StarClan give you many moons of rest."

ABOUT
Elders
A warrior may choose to retire to the status of elder when they feel they can no longer serve their clan efficiently anymore of their own initiative or due to old age, injury, or sickness. They can report this to the clan leader who will hold a ceremony for them,
"I, [Leader], leader of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend [him/her] to you as a warrior in [his/her] turn. [Apprentice] do you promise to uphold the warrior code and honor, defend and protect your clan even at the cost of your life?

Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. [Apprentice] from this moment on you will be known as [Warrior Name]. StarClan honors your [virtues], and we welcome you as a full warrior of RedwoodClan."
ABOUT
Warriors
Once an apprentice passes their assessment they will be given their warrior ceremony. As a warrior they are responsible to help care for the clan as either a general Warrior or a specialized Hunter, Runner, or Defender.
"I, Jaystar, leader of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Darkpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and honor, defend and protect your clan even at the cost of your life?

Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Darkpaw from this moment on you will be known as Darkstrike. StarClan honors your loyalty, honesty, and bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RedwoodClan."

Defenders
Defenders have four suffixes: -claw, -fang, -talon, or -strike.
"I, Jaystar, leader of RedwoodClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Sparrowpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and honor, defend and protect your clan even at the cost of your life?
Sparrowpaw: I do.

Runners
Runners have four suffixes: -foot, -leap, -tail, or -flight.

ABOUT
Hunters
Hunters have four suffixes: -fang, -nose, -pounce, or -whisker.
"[Kit], you have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on until you receive your warrior name you will be know as [Apprentice Name]. Your mentor will be [Name]. I hope that [Name] will pass down all [his/her] knowledge and experience to you.
[Name], you are ready to take on an[other] apprentice. You have received excellent training from [Mentor] and have proven your self to be not only [trait] but also [trait] and trait]. You will mentor [Apprentice] and I expect you to pass down those traits to [Apprentice]."
ABOUT
Apprentice
When a kit turns 6 moons old they will receive their apprentice ceremony so that they may begin their training. Through their training their mentors will note what skills they favor to help find a role for them as a warrior.
